I'd like to join the collaboration too!

I think if we did an album of songs that we write! It'd be really cool.

You're probably right, Polli. Even I have a passing proficiency with Audacity so I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult.

Writing our own songs could be a good idea; maybe we could mainly do that but also have one or two songs where we all collaborate, in the style of the 'YouTube orchestras', if anyone likes those. How about having a theme for the work so that it has some continuity?

Made a quick cover of Coldplay's Paradise yesterday. I feel bad for playing such mainstream music but this one is really nice X}

I agree, that was really good...and why should you have to apologize for playing something mainstream? That is, unless there is some truth to the claim that Joanna fans are hipsters. :lol:

Thanks Polli and Ursula for the compliments :smirk:

About the Milky Moon collaboration project: shall we start it with some lyrics? Like: somebody introduces a poem/thoughts we can make music to

Okay, here are a few ideas I've had:

We each contribute a song...

- with the theme of one of the forum ranks (eg. Owlet, Narwhal.)
- about where we live, seeing as it is quite a global community. Possible collaboration between members who live in the same country/region. (I've never been much of a fan of Eurovision though...)
- telling a story based on

But I like the idea of making a song together, instead of everyone contributing one of their own... :3

I like the everybody give ideas thing. And also songs for the ranks. Somebody of the rank will have to write the corresponding song, no?

If you'd like, you could choose your own rank. The might of the moderators does wonders

Hmm... would that be cheating though? I feel like I ought to be subject to an initiation ritual or something!
It seems that almost all members are either 'Chim-choo-ree', 'Narwhal', or 'Owlet', which doesn't give a lot of variety. Maybe we could expand it to all animals mentioned in JN's songs, or would that then be casting too wide a net?

We could expand it without difficulty. Expanding it too far would make the rank change, like, once every fifty posts, though, and there'd still be an upper limit. I think letting people pick their own ranks works best - maybe you can wait till you're a Chim-choo-ree if you feel like you need to earn it? :P

Oh, no, I wouldn't want to artificially inflate my post count. ;D I think I'd like to be a monkey. I'll try to raise their profile, after the terrible right-wing smear campaign instigated against the organ-grinder's monkey.
