one of my fondest memories of my first apartment is getting "lets dance" on vinyl. im pretty sure i wore out side A loll.... mmm hard to pick out my fav bowie stuff now. i tend to put on diamond dogs the most, but my favorite songs vary. also, gotta love him in film. the man who fell to earth, and FUCK he kicks ass as andy warhol in basquait. "bruno, can i have some money?"

Bowie's 70s is one of the wonders of the world. So many (9) nearly perfect albums. Maybe Diamond Dogs is my favorite.

Not sure it's so much unrelated to Joanna, both are pretty excentric, aren't they?

My favourite album is definitely:

I think it's just brilliant!

I also really like:

And:

is a very successfull album too.

For me, those 3 albums are just faultless. I don't know all his album yet, but the others I know are not always great on the whole. For example, I could never understand all the fuss about "Ziggy Stardust" which I find pretty boring on the whole...

huh, it's good to see his more recent work being mentioned. Frankly I haven't listened to much of his stuff from 80's and beyond. I'll check out "Heathen".

David came in so many flavors and so many albums, it's really fascinating to see different albums being mentioned by everyone. :)

Low, Heroes and Lodger are among my most beloved albums of all time. I find them the most flawless and inspiring sequence of releases.

Later Bowie, especially 90s Bowie receives a lot of unwarranted flack. 1. Outside is so criminally overlooked, it's some of his most inspired work. Just a shame he didn't follow up with the concept as he initially intended.
