I began learning to play Neil's songs while I was in Vietnam in 1970. Since then, I've learned more of his music than that of anyone else. It always resonated with something inside me...and I was especially excited to learn that Joanna was as much in awe of him as I am. Good choice queenie!

I would learn the guitar just to learn his songs I think! I had no idea Joanna loved him too

I was first exposed to Joanna and her music at a Neil Young benefit concert in Berkeley in 2004, prior to milk-eyed mender being released

After some native american singers and dancers left the stage, they wheeled out this large harp onto a big empty stage. I will never forget the tiny presence that walked out and as she sat down and her fingers touched the strings, she took the audience with her on what can only be described as a transcendental journey filled with images, smells and sounds noone in the audience had experienced before.

As much as I love Neil, all through his set I couldn't shake Joanna's strings running through my head.

I have seen ALOT of live music. Thousands of bands. Rarely have I ever left a show wanting...no...needing to know and understand more about what I just witnessed.

Neil is my all time favorite artist(with Kate Bush a VERY close second), having seen him near 60 times now(ever Bridge show since '91) and owning a few hundred of his live concerts on audio. I have an old roomate who went with Neil on tour in Canada(on the tour buses) and recorded a few shows. I just saw Neil this week in Oakland and brought me to tears.

So anytime Neil and Joanna worlds collide, I am in heaven.

Here is my favorite new Neil song- it is about his long time collaborator Larry "LA" Johnson who recently died while he was with Neil's son Ben

"After the Gold Rush" is still one of my favorite albums of all time. Especially when I'm battling another bout of the old lonely blues, I go straight for: "Oh, Lonesome Me," "Tell Me Why," and "Don't Let it Bring You Down."

I envy Wanbli for first seeing Joanna when he did.

as a die hard Neil fan I encourage anyone who likes Neil to pick up "Le Noise" without hesitation

Some of Neil's best work in decades, for sure.

The emotion, intensity and spirit that is channeled in this album- which was recorded by this 65 year old live over 4 full moon cycles is more relevant that almost anyone putting out music today.
