Help ! Music heard at a Joanna Newsom concert

I saw Joanna Newsom live a few months ago in Osaka, and there was that great music playing before the show which I didn't manage to identify... I tried to catch parts of the lyrics and googled them, but to no avail ; so in desperation I'm calling out to YOU.
It was some sunny pop with a female singer ; it kind of sounded like the All Girl Summer Fun Band - also a little bit like Architecture In Helsinki...
I especially remember two songs: one was a very happy sounding song containing the lyrics "It wasn't the worst day for me/It wasn't the best day honestly/It doesn't matter to me..." ; the other was more broody and went like that : "A fool in the mirror I see/The fool in the mirror is me...". Hey, for all I know it could be two different bands ?!
That's scarce, but still does it ring a bell ? Any clues, leads, hints would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance !!
