just list quickly, i'm surely forgot some pearls, if you want to show me how some of those are poorly composed i'm ok with that ! mother heroic is extremely linear, but so much emotional!! what i dislike in crys is that taste of welldone, megalomania. It's like she parodises herself. I don't want something particularly hardly composed or new or arty, i want something funny, funky, danceable, a song i want to hear very loud at home and sing on it, and i've any since vespertine, i picked some songs on the last albums i like for you, but to be honest, i never listen to them. What i hear the most is Kukl stuff, gling glo, post, homogenic, vespertine's remixes, fan remixes (last year i only listen to that), and old bsides...

Not her best song to be honest. I don't like the drum and bass part... it sounds just like totally out of place.

Ahhhh I love Bjork so much. This song is wonderful, too! I rather like the part at the end. I think (hope) the remix thing is a mis-labeling. It looks like it was leaked by the Bjork Camp, and most remixes of her songs are more extensive than a crazy drum n bass solo at the end.

it's a remix but it's both the actual official itunes release i like the dn'bass ending, in fact, it's the only part i like, so oldschool

i'm bored with this crystalline release, and mods on bjork.fr delete post i wrote due to "too much humour" fuck off, i guess i'm an olde fan and really tired with all this bjork devotion...

i read review of the two first concerts and it looks fuckingly awsome i think i turn my jacket (french expr) even if i dislike crystalline, it seems that something huge is comming now

I've tried listening to Bjork multiple times and just can't
The only music I have of hers is the time she sang "Satisfaction" with PJ, and I don't quite understand why people love her so much.

Is there one specific song/performance you can show me and explain the brilliance you see in it?
I don't mean to sound insulting or anything, I just think I may have been looking in the wrong places and want to understand her contribution to music.

in particular, birthday ()

to be honest, it worked for me cause at the beginning i couldn't get into the music of her solo material, just couldn't relate. sugarcubes just worked for that time in my life

homogenic is a pretty good place to start i think, but i agree with doublewuzzy with vespertine, also a nice place to startttttt

i'm rediscovering Medulla, i treated it as a minor album but, i don't kno if it's this sunny evening, my colorblock dress or because i feel biophilia as a piece of shit, but this album is amazing!

While drawing today I tried listening to Vespertine,
it was pretty good, especially Sun in My Mouth and Heirloom I liked

Some reminded me of My Brightest Diamond who I love
(though technically MBD would sound like this album)

I still can't like the song All Is Full of Love or Human Behaviour which were ones I listened to before and found insufferable

But Vespertine was nice.

Biophilia is an extraordinary and innovative multimedia exploration of music, nature and technology by the musician Björk. I've been following all this very closely, she's been all over the English press recently. I'm quite interested in checking out the album itself though.

Someone told me to listen to Medulla and I wish I heard sooner, because had it been the first of anything I heard from Bjork I would have found very little room to dislike her.
Where I thought Vespertine was just okay/listenable, Medulla is an awesome album, her voice sounds really great here and the sounds and lyrics are more interesting too.
