I like Kate Bush, but I'm really sick of how reviewers lazily compare any female singer with a voice considered 'odd' to her, and when you compare them singing there is no resemblance at all.

I got 50 Words for Snow CD for Christmas
I can't say the Elton John duet has exactly grown on me yet, but besides that it's so beautiful,
especially Among Angels is exquisite

I haven't connected with the album yet. My mum adores it though...
I'm waiting for it to snow so I can take a long walk and listen to it through headphones.

Been listening to The Dreaming so much lately
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq-5TvY4BEA50WFS is amazing btw (or at least it would be without Elton John). The first three tracks especially.

Such a freaking good album. Bloody amazing. It's one of Björk's favorites aswell
Night of the swallow may be my fave off the album.

Good choice!
I'm in love with almost every song though. Get Out Of My House is a recent favourite, as well as There Goes A Tenner~
'We're waiting...'
I love how the album has so many ridiculously amazing and bizarre little moments and sounds, be it Kate braying like a mule or squeaking 'I want it all' from the top of her range, and how each track is like a surreal jigsaw puzzle of all these moments, somehow functioning as an actual song in the meantime. I know it's a weird comparison, but The Dreaming kinda feels like an episode of The Mighty Boosh in that way (maybe its not a weird comparison, Kate's music videos feel very Mighty Boosh half the time, they were probably inspired).

I looooove "Night of the Swallow," I listened to it almost every day on the bus in the fall.
The Dreaming isn't my favorite album but "Pull Out the Pin" is probably in my top 10 songs by her

What is your favourite? Hounds of Love?
What are your top ten songs then? I don't know if I could name only ten

THE NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT
DOESN'T LIIIIIIIKE IIIIIIIIIIIIITTTT
This is my all-time favorite Bush album as well (though i haven't listened to lionheart of the red shoes). And ending with "Get Out Of My House" is so perfect

Aww I do like the Red Shoes generally, but I think Constellation Of The Heart and Why Should I Love You are atrocious. I have so much love for the title track and Eat The Music. 'Grab a banana, and a sultana, rip them to pieces with sticky fingers'. Have you seen The Line, The Cross & The Curve?
I started typing out a list but I realised I couldn't stop at 20, even. My favourite album is probably The Dreaming or Aerial. Followed by HoL, 50WFS and TSW. Lol I can't choose, she's amazing.

Ah you have to see it! It's cheesy and ridiculous and also kind of awesome, and serves as a kind of extended music video for Rubberband Girl, And So Is Love, The Red Shoes, Lily, Moments Of Pleasure and Eat The Music (IMO the best six songs on the album). It has Miranda Richardson with an Irish accent and a monobrow! I think it's on youtube.
I don't necessarily think Why Should I Love You is completely terrible, but I really think Prince should GTFO this album
And if I was going by singles alone, I'd say my favourite was Cloudbusting, by a hair
