Tori is getting ready for her mini-tour starting with Bonnaroo. Will anyone be hitting up any of the dates?

Tori Amos WAS really great. My favorite album are Under the Pink, Boys for Pele, From the Choirgirl Hotel, but I lked To Venus and Back as well. Unfortunately she totally, or almost, destroyed her career and her talent making bad albums (especially the last 2 because on confront to them Scarlett's Walk and The Beekeeper ar still good). What then she did on her face with stupid plastic surgery is also offensive to all the high ideals she wrote on her songs, as woman and feminist. She's got the same face of Sarah J. Parker, just larger, like a doll. What pity that she lost herself. But...the hope is the last to die. Who knows...

I don't care for the last 2 albums either but she redeems herself live. I saw her twice during the "posse" era and once last year and she was great.
Lady in Blue (this is one of her new songs)

I'm hoping she makes a lounge-y album something like "Bug a Martini" OR a big band album, her voice was just made for it.

I do miss her old days, I loved under the pink. She is a little more pop and accessible now, which is fair I suppose, perhaps it gets her more fans.
Nothing beats Yes Anastasia and icicle for awesomeness.

Listening to Boys For Pele is still a cathartic experience for me. I haven't always liked all her song but her genius is never deniable. xo

From her newsletter...
Here’s how Tori describes the new record:
"It's a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years. I have used the structure of a song cycle to tell an ongoing, modern story. The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”
Woot woot! It's called "Night of Hunters."
