A difficult question I know ... mine changes each time I listen to more than half the album in one go. One steady favourite though is 'Go Long' which is utterly riveting in every way; from the vocal melody, to the harp arrangements to the overall musical arrangements - they're all spellbinding. Alas, it's quite sad that it would appear she hasn't played this song live. I'm desperately hoping she plays 'Soft as Chalk' or 'In California' when I see her (my other two favourites).
My favourite might be "In California", but I think I got a lot of "current favourites", songs I have to play over and over a few days...right now I LOVE "Occident" and I'd DIE to have the piano sheetmusic for this.
I also love... Easy On A Good Day 81 Have One On Me Soft As Chalk Jackrabbits
On a Good Day still by a mile, because of what it harkens back to in her work...or how it seems to me to look back at MEM in tenor and feel<in my mind of course>
but the others are gaining

The thing i like best about deciphering Joanna's songs...i'm always wrong.
Until this album, I've never had favorites. Whatever I happened to be listening to was my favorite. With HOOM, I find myself skipping over some songs, and repeating others. It's still hard to single out anything, but those that I listen to again and again are: Have One on Me, 81, Good Intentions Paving Company, On a Good Day, Soft as Chalk, Ribbon Bows, and Easy. There is nothing wrong with the others. It's just that when my listening time is limited, I prefer these.
for now: Have One on Me In California (although need a break from listening to it ten times a day) Go Long '81 Kingfisher Good Intentions Paving Co. Jack Rabbits Soft as Chalk
I'm finally starting to like the album version of Ribbon Bow. The first listen was a huge disappointment because I loved the old live version on the piano so much.
Can't wait to see her here in California...

almost three months later I'm adding to my answer:
Listening to Autumn being performed live really hit that song home finally. especially with the mood I'm in right now, I can't stop playing it, but it's devastating.

I downloaded this a couple of weeks or so, and as yet have not even listened beyond the first CD. I think my aim must be to imprint with a vice each part of the album - I am nearly there with disc 1, so I will embellish my third-of-an-answer as I go...
'81 and easy are my favourites so far, in that order. The harp in the former is one of the most mesmeric melodies I've encountered, I can barely contain myself over Have One on Me, and Joanna, at the moment. So ethereal!
I often start listening from "Jackrabbits" - in digital mode that is. It's such an amazing song, and works well as a track 1.
But after listening to the album incessantly, then giving it a break, now coming back to it, I've decided that every single song is a freaking classic. What a beautiful, beautiful album!
baby birch, go long, ribbon bows, and does not suffice.my least favorite is Please do not kill me: '81. I don't think it is true to the new Joanna. I think she was trying to be bangs-'n'-gunne sax Jo. Plus, it is very much like Sprout and the bean.
Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.
kingfisher, on a good day, and have one on me are at the top of my list
BUTTT the reason im posting, is because just now (months later) i have fallen head over heals for "no provenance". seriously, its not that i disliked it before, but only now am i appretiating its full colours.
now if only the same would happen for occident....
