I never really got into the Office, either. I forgot to mention on my previous list... I really like Outnumbered, and Beautiful People (the BBC one, but it's not on anymore
). I find that British programs are so much better than American (and Canadian) ones.

Yay! Another fan. It was such a sweet show! And really funny. I'm really sad that they're not doing a third series

I have not seen Modern Family... But the big gay dude... Cameron is it? I think he looks sort of cute from time to time. Apparently his actor is straight, though.
Ursala... I think you and I are forgetting something.

Anyone a fan of the quintessential teen stuff? Freaks and Geeks is so good, as is My So-Called Life. 10 Things I Hate About You is one of my guilty pleasures

So many shows are unfairly cancelled, Pushing Daisies, Arrested Development and Firefly are the big regrets. I've been meaning to watch Six Feet Under as well. Gurgh I have such a long list of books/ tv shows/ films that I need to have time to pursue.

I am going to be working in the funeral industry, but I have never seen Six Feet Under! It\'s on my list of things I need to watch, along with ten days of One Piece. What about Curb Your Enthusiasm? I lurb Larry DAvid.

here are some faves old and new series - I don't watch traditional sitcoms or any cop/doctor/lawyer "tele-dramas" and no singing/dancing/acting like a monkey contest shows
Game of Thrones (currently on episode 9 of 10 first season HBO) - the BEST
True Blood Keep your kiddie vampire and wolf shows and films...
Curb Your Enthusiasm (if you liked Seinfeld, this is an extension- he was the main writer and char George is based in part on him - cynical, sometimes darkish and direct humor)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (I went to High School and have family in Philly- this show has it's ups and downs, but some very funny moments)
Mad Men (I worked in big Ad business - and yes this is a highly sensationalized, fictional take on Madison Ave and culture in America at the time it strikes a style, theme and a few very poignant reminders of how far we have evolved in relation to racism, sexism, etc)
Firefly (basically anything Joss Whedon is involved in I will give a go.Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, his movies. He pushes many of the right buttons needed in pop culture)
Babylon 5 (Perhaps the most underrated Sci-Fi TV show ever. 5 seasons and a few movies- Great plot and writing. J. Michael Straczynski is a fantastic writer and some of the guest writers of episodes included Neil gaiman, Haran Ellison, Peter David and more)
Battlestar Galactica (Team Edward...James Olmos - nuff said)
Smallville (Just ended it's 10 year run- and I am a sucker for comics and Superman since looong time ago. Didn't see or follow all of this show- many of em were cheesy "Dawson's Creek" teen drama type stuff I missed)
Northern Exposure (classic comedy where cultures clash and find middle ground in a fictional Alaska town)
South Park (funny as I got older I thought this would become a show of the past. But it is amazing that the creators have managed to keep it as socially and politically relevant as any show in American TV history for almost 2 decades)
The Walking Dead (Based off a comic I really enjoyed. Being a fan of Zombies n such, this series- although one brief first season - has potential if it is done right and people keep dying - which ois tough to pull off in a regular TV show)

walking dead is soooo waspy, you know, the good white policeman who turn into a super headmaster
naughty white man "killed" by the brainless black etc...
plus the asian man, plus the blonde, plus the brown...it looks like a benetton 80's advirtising

I can't believe I forgot Parks & Recreation. That shows has steadily made its way to one of my favorites. It started out really unfunny, but I looove Amy Poehler and now I love Leslie Knope. Also, I saw the actor who plays April Ludgate at the airport and that makes me happy because I don't think I've ever seen someone in person that I watch on TV all the time.
