Posted: 20 May 2011, 03:21BEV! A patronus doesn't poop on the carpet like a real dog, nor does it slobber all over you. I was considering choosing a seagull or a penguin, but I wanted something more water-y... too bad I hate seafood and nothing appealed. Maybe I should be a giant squid?

WOW at that Water-bear! What an incredible picture .. even more so than the snow-leopard or the slime moould. It's a whole new phylum, too - when I did biology at school, there was no such thing as Phylum Tardigradus! (What else is new, I wonder?) I am reading numerous wonderful things about water-bears, but perhaps the best of all is that they are also known as Moss Piglets!!! I wonder which name they prefer?
