i want to react to the hair thread, as actually organic doesn't stick only for hair as i said, perhaps due to my german connection, i'm an organic addict (and no i'm not a fuckingly hipster) i use organic product since my 14years old, my piano teacher introduced me into that. I'm an ecological warrior, or well, i try, i'm part of this mouvement who wanted to create anarchic garden in the city, burn OGM field, at 12 i lied down a bulldozer to prostest to the destruction of my childhood parc.
But it's kind of freaky for me now, i ate essentially the same thing, as i'm afraid by chemicals adds in food, or makeup, even my cat eat organic i'm a "not-so-far" freak too, i prefer to buy unorganic but close to my house product, and it's like i didn't ate bananas for ages, and i'm sock of apple...
in europe, especially in germany, which is i'm quite a part of, it's THE real kick to enjoy or to make organic product, i'm curious to know how it works in the rest of the world. I came back from Istanbul, and i wanted to buy organic turkish skincare, there isn't! or anybody could tell me where i can buy them!
I prefer to eat organic. I like to buy organic clothing and makeups, too. I like to make a lot of my own product, so there's that. But it is very expensive to buy organic.
Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.
I'm not particularly fussy about what's in my food, so long as it never suffered. I eat a ton of ready meals, but to give the supermarkets that make them some credit, they've probably responded to pressure to take some of the additivies out of them anyway. And I eat so many pizzas out of the fridge, but my concerns are, "Will this taste good, will it stop me from being hungry, and is it easy to cook?" rather than, "Is this good for me?" My cigarettes are organic, though!
haha i love you! it's so a "logique de la vie" i smoked organic tobbaco during years, it's like smoke hay, totally disgusting. Of course i stoppped smoking one and an half years ago
Really? I smoke American Spirits (not a hipster, shut up) and I find them so much better than cigarettes with additives in them. The taste and smell is much better - almost like whiskey, rather than the awful, tinny, metallic taste you get from, say, Marlboros, and they burn a lot slower because they don't have chemicals in them deliberately to make them burn faster. Plus, because cigarettes kill you anyway, they're allowed to put stuff in them that's equally bad for you - organic tobacco's not good for you, by any means, but it's less bad for you than cigarettes with crap in them. If the crap had a purpose other than to make them burn faster so you have to smoke more, I'd be fine with that. And they're no more expensive than the equivalent strength, like Marlboro Reds. Plus, the quality of the cigarette tends to be better - they're stuffed right up to the filter rather than there being a gap. But France is like the smoking capital of the world, so you probably have pretty good cigarettes to begin with, anyway. Not crappy ones like Marlboros and Mayfairs and Camels.
Where'd you get the money Jordan? I'm smoking American Spirits at the mo (bought two bricks in NY) but they're so so so expensive here. Normally I just roll with golden vag. standarddd. S'all about rolling.
I bought them on the Internet. Otherwise I'd be smoking Marlboro Reds; I worked it out and the American Spirits from the US come in at 2-3p more per packet if you buy 600. I only smoke three or four a day, anyway, so I don't go through them very quickly. Plus if you buy them from the US they don't have pictures of dissected corpses on them.
I had a huge garden in Holland, so I got fresh lavender to put in iced Earl Grey In Sweden we grew all sorts of berries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, black currants, etc. So nice! But I can't grow anything in my apartment here.
Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.
_i have a "garden" and yesterday we turned it into something we're not afraid to come in i'll add tomatoe, eggplant, radish next week _i smoked artisanal tobacco made by some crazy green farmer, american spirit is a lil bit high priced in belgium too, in france ++, but in germany it's affordable, i never smoked regular cig, only hand rolled tobacco, but hey, regular or green cig is quite the same shit nope? - i love dissected corpse and be glad it comes yet in france, my sis start a collection
I'm growing some sweetcorn and basil and rocket and lots of little flowers for my little sanctuary at the end of the garden. I will post some photos when it is all done.
I have a little buddha and a light so I can go out there at night and sit down and feel at peace. There is a little fruit tree growning too and a few other bushes too. Can't wait for my flowers to grow now! Got some busy lizzies and corn flowers and lobelias and some wild flowers.
And every little gust that chances through Will dance in the dust of me and you
Right now my kitchen is being overrun by tomato plants... And cascading petunias, zinnias, gazanias, nasturtiums, morning glories and mesembryanthemum... Outside I have giant alliums, bearded irises, anemone and a bunch of others growing. Later I'm going to plant some Gladiolus too.
Plants are everything that is right in this world.
These are my tomatoes so far! I have 72 growing here. A single tomato plant can feed a family of four... That's a lot of food. I might sell them for a buck each! I have a few varieties planted, all different sizes and colors!
The Morning Glory Nook! These guys grow so fast... I have to plant them outside soon or else they'll just keep growing!
An old favorite! Nasturtiums! This variety has white markings on their leaves. They taste like a mix of pepper and radishes, when they get big I'm going to make a salad with them!
This is the first flower to bloom in my garden! So I decided to make a little arrangement to enjoy! I used the Nacissus' leaves as well as those from a weed growing close by. I think it looks cute.
They look beautiful, Mike! You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into them, and it seems to have paid off! The arrangement is indeed very cute!
