Of course I'm kidding...but it wouldn't bother me if they did. The whole point is that it doesn't matter to me what they do with my body once I'm dead. After all, I'll be dead! They can bury me, burn me, or feed me to the pigeons. Whatever allows them to deal with the situation is okey dokey with me. And, obviously it doesn't bother me in the least to joke around about it.
two things. one: the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy once featured an awesome song Called 'brains' by my favorite cuban, Voltaire. (and no, polli, not the Candide guy, the animator musician guy.)
two: if I cannot be taxidermied, I would like to be placed in a long wooden ship, set on fire and set out to sea.
Of course, I have one aim, the grotesque. If I am not grotesque I am nothing.
I thought the kingly sendoff shown in the 13th Warrior was interesting. With your expansive knowledge of all things Nordic, was the 13th Warrior accurate in it's representation of Northmen culture?
I have not seen 13th Warrior, but I'll put it in my netflix queue. FYI, How to Train Your Dragon is not at all accurate. Dragons were Asian. We Vikings have no belief in them.

Depictions of Níðhöggr are often based on the Roman idea of a dragon, which in turn is formed of the Hellenistic Greek fusion of Eastern and native Western serpentine mythical creatures, like the Babylonian muš-ḫuššu. Prior to Alexander's conquests in the east, the Greek idea of a dragon was more like a snake, after which Mesopotamian, Persian, Indian and Chinese ideas were introduced. It's a very interesting period of history - I always think it's a shame Greco-Buddhism never caught on in the west.
It is a rare cOmmodity; very precious. I can make it myself, but it Depletes its own reserves. And I dispense it freely to others, But there's never enough; never enough.
OccasiOnally I will receive a little from others. And when I do, it is goLden. BuT there is never enOugh; never enough.
