All the it means if your message is in the outbox is the recipient hasn't read it yet. Unfortunately the notice on the forum that you've received a PM is quite small and unobtrusive, I often don't notice them immediately. Either that, or the person you sent it to hasn't been online. It's not 'stuck', though.
no! some stuck some were sent, i wrote several to three different people, ok just check, only 2persons don't receive the messages, perhaps they not access their count, don't know
I get the email, too ... but strangely it can come through hours after the message! However, what alerts me is my pop-up blocker: if I've got a message, I get a white strip across the top of the MM window saying "pop up blocked" and that's what guides my eye to the thing that says "1 new message".

As Tom mentioned in another thread, we were thinking about the possibility of writing up some rules. We don't often have need of any, so they'd probably take the form of guidelines more than anything else - like an agreed-upon standard for the moderators to uphold. Would there be any interest in that? Does anyone have any thoughts?
We'd like to know why you feel that way, too, then. We want to keep a nice, civil atmosphere.
The same goes for anyone: if you have any concerns or just general thoughts about the forum, or ideas about what, if any, standard of conduct should be expected of members or what a set of guidelines should include if implemented, etc., feel free to post them here, or PM them to a moderator, if you'd rather. We'd like to know what people think; if there are improvements we can make. At the moment, we just have to go by gut feeling and our perception of the general sentiment when making moderation decisions. If people are happy enough with that method and its results, good - that means we're doing our job right. But equally, we'd be happy to implement agreed guidelines based on which we could moderate, which could take the form of anything from rules to general principles.
What, so I can state something in a way that is confusing to you, and who knows how many other people? I'm not scherado. I don't enjoy that kind of thing.
If you think there's something amiss with the forum, please let us know. If you're worried about other people seeing it for any reason, again, feel free to PM it.
lol - my first time being "told on" on the interwebZ or that I am aware of. But hey, I am "rude" because I said I put someone on ignore instead of responding and getting into a flame war. I can live with that
I think I've done plenty wrong, and I could go back through the posts and point out examples. If the old forum still existed, I could do the same there, even with most of my own posts deleted. What I can't do is restore the old forum to allow the newer members to see clearly just what a long-time, highly respected member I am. Something the moderators could do to help alleviate the tension created by my inflammatory, self-serving comments is to advise people that they can (and should) block my posts, just as I was advised that the only way to deal with scherado was to block his posts and ignore him. It should be obvious to all by now that supporters of that excellent plan were right, along with those who expressed that scherado staying would be preferable to me. Since I am just out to gain attention, and it is clearly because of psychological problems arising from my childhood hatred of my father, I ask everyone to please agree with this, or submit some other hypotheses to explain my aberrant behavior, followed by a demand that moderators do something about me.
Jessie, I am letting it be, I only feel it's fair if this is an open public record of a complaint against me (instead of keeping it private and PMing a moderator) that I am justified in a one time statement to clear my good name!
