I love all Tolkien books, I got completely lost in Middle Earth for quite a while!

I went to Vienna once ... but only because I was on my way to Bratislava and Cachtice [ursulabear take note!] and there were no direct flights from London to Slovakia in those days. So I was only in the city of the Blutgasse for a short time before jumping on a bus and crossing the border over the Danube.

It has been a few years since I last read Tolkien's books. It was shortly before the last movie. Over the years I have read them more than 10 times (lost count ), and I guess I'll have to read them again since the Hobbit movie will be out pretty soon. Hard to get too much Tolkien!

I'm hoping to go to the Danube Steve, time permitting!

nah sweety pie, vienna is a nice place for lonely woman, eat great pastries, dring hot chocolate in famous café, visit few museums, and have nice walk and spend you time and money in shopping ! how many time did you stay ?

Milki:) this is my first time to Vienna. I thought I would only stay for 4 nights as its the first time away far from home on my own.

I had such an amazing time, it's been life changing for me, this whole experience, I feel like I'm finding my feet as an individual. Have to say topped off by (nobody say nothing nasty) an outstanding Muse gig, the best I've ever seen them. Plus their music is like a home from home for me, I got a bit teary!! Not just cos a laser hit me square in the eyes but because it represents my freedom and independence for the first time since I was 13 I have my own mind and voice. Sorry all gushy
