Fade is all I can do, or spoil it all, fizzle out and be boring, what else can I do?
Well now I've torn it, before it was even once worn.
Passive aggressive, my temper is frayed. I tamper with what we played and I mean nothing now.
So he waits his turn, he knows I'm hopeless and never learn.
Holding on to a sound when he hears nothing at all.
Are you further away? Or damped by tears?
So for these years I've done nothing but hide
and hold on to the pattern of the turning tide
But it meant nothing no reason or rhyme
Just happens itself in the passing of time.

Your Ugly Face

When you frown, your face screws into a knot
not dissimilar to that of a clove hitch,
though to compare you to a knot as useful as this one
would be to labour it with a comparison
it doesn’t deserve.
There is beauty in seeing a well-groomed, happy, obedient horse
tied neatly to a hitching post
outside of a saloon.
There is no beauty in your frown.
In fact, I do not know a horse, rope or post in history
that has been afflicted with the separate or collective ugliness
of your scowl.
I am reasonably confident of this supposition and I will stand by it.
However, I must distance myself from objectifying matters,
because it is an overly simplistic device
used to derive an element of humour from a place where there absolutely is none.
And therein lies my problem. Or rather, your problem.
So for fear of comparing you to something marginally favourable,
it is only fair that I compare you to yourself,
because the only thing that comes close
to the profound ugliness of your ugly, frowning face
is your ugly, unfrowning face.

I could stand under your gaze
laying beneath Stealing your aim
Your Head bent, a sunflower heavy with seeds.
Limbs leafy, carrying scant breeze
To lift purposefully, fulfil their needs.
I'd fit well in to the decor a place to graze
A place to lay down in a circle of those foreseeing rain.
Snared by the power of three words possibly on repeat
Id kiss your feet and I'd open my eyes when you'd say it's safe
Blind faith till when I'm
Taken from your side and with one swipe taken in your stride
From the horses mouth you were only made to do wrong
And look down your nose, gifted, proud and strong.
What is your aim. Gunning down or bound to keeping um keen.
Which way do you lean
Can you take a left
When I'm moving so fast
Attempting to last beyond a day
Jobs and love are so expendable they say
But Saying it makes it so, on repeat
Stupid word, like an inhale
Who cares to pay attention
Until one fails
Is it your nature that ails
If you can't over come tell me what
is the point of you.
Saviour in waiting, hoping for
All kinds of shit to hit the fan.
Willing catastrophe, in a wish
See what you have done
save the lives of many
And forego one.
