My name actually is Juniper so my avatar is technically a self-pic. I have a legal name that's not up for disclosure.

By day I am an office slave doing administrative and marketing work for a design firm. But by nights/weekends/free time, I get to slide down the pole into the Juniper Cave and transform myself into a visual artist producing conceptually-based sculpture and installation work. In fact, I need to stop distracting myself by being on this forum so much; I've got a lot of stuff to get done. Adore this site, but just should limit my time to once a week or something.

I love everyone sharing info about Joanna on here. And what I'm surprised but delighted to find is a place where I can be in community with passionate music fans in general. Folk On!

Hi! I'm Emily, 23, Graphic Designer.

I graduated from college almost a year ago and have just discovered that the forums moved to a new place, so I'm happy to be back with time enough to read/post. I've been a fan of Joanna's for about 4 years now and have been fortunate enough to see her play live twice, and I'm hoping to go to another performance in late November.

If you're interested in being my Last.fm friend, you can find me here: http://www.last.fm/user/emilyrevis

Hmm, I seem to be at a loss for more bio information. Ask what you want, if you want! I'll be around. :)

Hi, Emily! Glad you're back! :D

BTW, what's the difference between 'tea and crackers' and 'tea and biscuits'?

I'm Scott, 25, from Upstate New York (like, 6 or 7 hours from NYC, in case you're wondering, and I live across the lake from Toronto). Also known as doublewuzzy, started the Joanna Newsom Transcription Project but everyone knows that. I am currently... semi-employed but looking for something legit (I coach swimming but it doesn't pay much). Aspiring roller derby ref. Two music degrees and some extra credits, lived in Phoenix and Chicago, and am not putting my music degrees to use because no one needs classical musicians! I'm trying to learn how to write music, too (check out my short-lived band and cover project - toy symphony / sandhorse on myspace, respectively). I'm trying to be more active in the forum, also! Um... woo!

Another Graphic Designer? Nice!

I go by the name of Anne, I'm 23 and also a recent graduate. I come from a family of nomads and have moved around my entire life. The UK has been home for me for the past three years. I currently have a delightful job as a seamstress and also freelance as an Art Worker. I find solace in music, comic books and cake, preferably at the same time. :)

I'm Owen, 20 living in Athens, Georgia. Taking this semester off from the University of Georgia and trying to decide if I completely love being out of school or I have too much free time for my own good. I think this is the second time I've posted on the new forum, but I'm feeling some guilt because I was the first one on the old forum to receive HOOM and I'm 99% sure I was the first to upload it to the internet. Forgive me everyone. Confession over. Currently can't sleep because roommates decided to turn the air off because it's fall now. Uh, doesn't feel like fall yet.

Why would you apologize for that??? I was thrilled to get HOOM early, though I blame it partly on my school issues considering I stopped doing schoolwork for weeks just to listen to it over and over.

Hello everyone, I'm Tomfish, but you can call me Tom :D

I'm 17, male, and a total idiot when it comes to living life. I also happen to be in love with Joanna and her music. I'm doing one of the toughest university entry courses on the planet and am often stressed and feel very overworked; listening to Ys (and increasingly Have One On Me) is the utter catharsis I need.

I live in the beautiful valleys of Switzerland (despite being British), and the wonderful imagery she creates resonates so strongly with me that it's actually hard to put into words. I try to be creative, I write some of my own music (I have a fondness for dissonance) and actually wrote this year's school play. I have applied to study Law at universities in the UK, and am currently waiting on responses.

I look forward to spending time with this community and getting to know some of you better :)
