No one seems to have posted on here for a while so I thought as I'm a newbie I should introduce myself. My name is Max and I was watching the television several years ago and an advert for Orange mobile service came on (that might just be a UK brand, not sure) and the ad was this New York blackout or something and there was this beguiling voice singing through my speakers, like nothing I had ever heard and I knew within one minute that this was the start of a lifelong love affair. And lo and behold it was Joanna Newsom with This Side of the Blue. I bought Milk Eyed Mender straight away and have probably never been the quite the same since (sorry for the melodrama).
My favourite songs from Milk-Eyed Mender are Inflammatory Writ and Sadie. From Y's - Only Skin and from Have One on Me - Go Long (for now).
I am 25, studying Physics and Astronomy at Royal Holloway University in Surrey. I have played the guitar for 10 years and am now rather tentatively trying to learn the cello.
I have made a few posts on here so far (nothing very interesting) and have found everyone to be super nice. So thanks for having me and I hope I have found my online home away from home.
