I picked 9 lbs of blueberries today!

At midday. In Florida. In full sun. Yeah, it was like 97 degrees with a humidity factor of probably something like a billion. I almost passed out. 4real.

Got my first year results today; inexplicably did better in my open units (french, philosophy and philosophy of science) than I did in physics. Got a high 2:1 in a module that I spent about 3 days revising for and didn't go to the lectures. I think I'm on the wrong course.

I just looked at my English module choices for next year; European Theatre and 20th Century American Literature and the reading lists are ridiculously brilliant; Toni Morrison, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Richard Yates, Proulx, Lorca, Brecht, Chekhov... so much I want to read

My romantic life may be ridiculous and complicated where he and I are basically fuckbuddies although we still love each other, but literature will make it all so much better.

I had an awesome weekend of biking in sunshine and cuddling kittens. The combination was a powerful and emotional one.

a friend of mine just decided to get married two weeks ago, the wedding is saturday, official speech at 9 AM and afternoon at a lake near my city, bbq, beach play, sun, barefoot, fresh beer and a looooootttt of south american people!!! (she's marrying a brasilian guy and lived few years in bolivia, argentina, peru there she attempted a photo documentary of the zapatist mouvement)

it gives me a thrill of pleasure, so much freshness, love and faith, (hum hope weather is on our board)

I'm having a baby.

I know you're not supposed to tell people this early, but it was unexpected, unplanned, and I panicked, then when I told my family they were beyond excited. I expected my mom to be annoyed, or bothered, but she screamed, hugged me and shouted, "I'M SO EXCITED." Then she and my grandmother proceeded to call everyone they know, including my father and siblings, so that I have told only three people in my family, but now everyone knows.

I'm only 5 weeks. It was scary but now I'm excited because my family has made me feel like I should be. I can't believe it, though. Still in shock.
