And Rasputina. Melora's philosophy is that because she can't dance around while playing her cello, so she'll wear crazy period costumes to be visually interesting.

thank you for revealing some of the designers of these beautiful pieces! i love her style, whether in high fashion or gunne sax. i adore both modern designers and the vintage classics. i do sometimes miss our gunne girl, but i'm just as happy to see her in christopher kane. you're born with style, you buy fashions. she has always had style.

Do you think people give her stuff or does she have to buy it?

So, there are a couple of things that have been driving me a little nutty in putting together this thread.
1. On Style.com's description page for Peter Jensen Resort 2011: "it provided Jensen with the kind of girly/grotesque context that turns him on—and also makes Joanna Newsom the quintessential Peter Jensen Woman (she's wearing his clothes on tour)."
I haven't been able to figure out what they're talking about. I've literally looked at every dress from every Peter Jensen collection multiple times, but I don't recognize any of them. She's worn two dresses on recent tours that look like they wouldn't be out of place in a Peter Jensen collection ( and ) but I can't seem to find them.
2. In an interview, Joanna mentioned that Marc Jacobs Spring 2002 is one of her favorite all time collections, and very strongly resembles some of the looks from that collection (particularly , , and ), but it doesn't match any of them exactly.
Anybody able to shed some light on either of these?

Stumbled across this one tonight. Another CK nebula dress! Color me extremely jealous (just had to convince myself that no, it's not worth $200 to own a tank top from this collection).
Christopher Kane - Resort 2011 (not exact color/pattern match)

Naturally, when she played at that Built By Wendy fashion week event, she was wearing Built By Wendy.

Just wanted to note that I just got a tank top from the Christopher Kane Resort 2011 collection (with all the stars and galaxies)! Barney's has a few pieces from that collection on super sale right now, in case anybody else is a fan:
