Hi.
I've come to this board for a while now. It was a great place to ride the wave of anticipation for this past album. I love knowing there's a community out there that can really appreciate artist like joanna, that take their own road and pound away at a piece until it resembles exactly what they have inside. Its hard to imagine music without her now. so thanks!

Anyway. I've been doing some videos lately. I'm just getting started with film, but I'm pretty exited to keep learning and take it further.

I always get real strong colors and images with music and especially with joannas. I made a video for "81" and I'm working on one for 'Go Long" I'm going to do a bunch of these and I'd love to see if anyone gets images or emotion from her songs that I might be able to create a visual of.

I'm exited about 'Go Long and I'd love to incorporate any ideas.

This is my second one. It's to Iron & Wine, but its a better example of what I'm trying to get out of these. I went fishing with my dad for a few weeks and their was something so peaceful about coming from the ocean to our cabin in the woods. My parents routing was kind of beautiful. hmm well if you're really wanted to use a visual to catch my attention, her new album gives me one constant image the whole time. the farm. everyone of the songs takes place there (in my head at least), i'm struggling to think of an exception. oh, good intentions, i think of being on the road, driving. but that's it, the rest give me an image of a farm, soooo... yeah! do it!

If you would like a tiny bit of critique, I am not sure how often I would match an exact lyric to an exact image.

very nice videos! the (natural) lighting in both is divine. in '81, i love the series of shots during the high-register "i belieeeve" at the end, as well as the wonder in your daughter's eyes during the "wandering eye that i have known..." part.

the iron & wine video was beautiful. you captured that feeling of peacefulness and the simplicity therein really well. and i do agree that you captured the emotion is this video better, although i'm not sure exactly what was missing in '81. both videos feature great shot composition.

i don't really know what to say in terms of critique, the videos may not be "perfect" (whatever that means), but i can feel the heart you put into them and they show a lot of potential. keep up the good work.
