What I meant was that before, Swansea would be ahead of "En Gallop" for quite a stretch in my JN MM "nostalgic sounding" song hierarchy, but more recently the margin has become smaller, probably because of your continued praise of the song.

Ah thank you for clarifying, Under A CPell - and thank you for your votes. I'm so glad that someone is still interested, but if anyone else reads this, it's not a closed shop - please join in with us!

Swansea was a late grower on me, too, but it hasn't caught up to the magnificence of En Gallop yet! I think En Gallop is an easy song to overlook, as it is so subtle, and some of the lyrics can sound a bit forced, especially in the early version. But I adore the imagery at the beginning, and the way the bass theme (I don't know what the technical term is) on the harp towards the end is held back for so long, so that when it comes it's earth-shattering (in a subtle way, of course, if one can shatter a planet subtly!). Her timing throughout this song is unrivalled.
