Hello,
I'm about to buy Walnut Whales and Yarn and Glue, and I'd like to make sure they look genuine... If any of you already own them and could tell me what you think about that, I would be very glad!
These are the pics I've got from the seller:

from what i know, these were burned discs anyway, not sure if they can be verified as originals? or wether theres any difference between the originals and a recently burned one with a printed cover. i'd be interested to hear if any1 here knows more?

well that is what the cover and interior look like
But as mentioned, it could have been scanned or copied and reproduced as CDR
the 2 things in helping identify if it is part of an original run - would be the CDR brand/quality/color
and the jewel case type/color
I would be suspicious of price, seller's rating and feedback, how and from where this person is selling this and their history of selling similar items, when they sold them, how many.
good luck!

^ I agree.
How much are they selling them for? If they are really cheap I would buy them anyway just to have the scans, even if they are fake.
Does anyone have real copies?

It is listed in many older places from WW as "Plumb." So that isn't an issue

i remember hearing that many copies of the originals(of which there were not many) were being sold on the web.
Since it was a home made affair to begin with a copy should not be a bad thing to have...pricey but not bad

Very difficult to tell, as others have said. On my Yarn & Glue, the label designs are in a bluey ink, apart from the URL and copyright. Both inlays are on card, rather than paper. And my inlay in Yarn & Glue is cut off half way (as Walnut Whales is) and has the
www.walnutwhales.com address at the bottom. But then a fake is likely to copy that too so it might just mean this one is older - before she had the URL.
Interestingly they hardly ever come up for sale on eBay any more. I don't know if that's because Drag City had them blocked (you'd imagine some would still sneak through) or if there really aren't many fakes and the few genuine copies are staying in fans' hands. It's been a long time since I saw one up for sale.
