Hello everyone, I've been around these parts for years, used to have the handle 'corcovado'.

I'll be at the Tipitina's show solo. Is anyone else from the forum attending? It'd be nice to have someone to share the excitement with!

Ryan played three Fahey-esque raga pieces, then was joined by the violinist on tour to perform some Bulgarian folk standards. The set seemed rather short.

Beautiful show, as always. Unfortunately the sound guys at TIpitina's had no earthly idea how to mic Joanna or any of the sound, really, for the show. Thankfully the crowd was extremely quiet and respectful. Perhaps even the sound problems lent themselves to a more intimate show where everyone was hushed just to hear those slight reverberations of the harp.

Don't be melodramatic. I'm sure by now she doesn't care; she cared when she was far less secure about her voice. By now, I'm sure, she's perfectly happy with the way she sounds without careful studio attention. If not, we're utterly failing in convincing her at every live gig she's ever played that we find every sound produced by her glottis utterly pleasurable.
