Just picked up a ticket- I'll be in Philadelphia 2 days prior- figuring extending the trip a couple days and a train ride is worth it..

I just found out I'm going to be in New York City November 18th-25th. Hopefully I'll be able to get tickets to this, though I won't have money for several weeks, so I'm not sure if it's really realistic! Ahhhhh, if I get to go to this show, this is going to be the best year ever.

The largest hall at Carnegie Hall has been the premier classical music performance space in the United States since its opening in 1891, showcasing the world's greatest soloists, conductors, and ensembles. The hall was dedicated the Isaac Stern Auditorium in 1996, and the stage was dedicated the Ronald O. Perelman Stage in 2006. Throughout its century-plus history, the space has been the forum for important jazz events, historic lectures, noted educational forums, and much more. Designed by architect and cellist William Burnett Tuthill and renovated in 1986, the auditorium's striking curvilinear design allows the stage to become a focal point embraced by five levels of seating, which accommodates up to 2,804. Overall a great night, with the exception of a pretty standard set-starting a bit after 9 there was a hard stop at 11 (union halls) and it felt a bit short

Lots JN family in the audience and the tale of Beverly's friend who pierced JNs mom that was told at the start of the tour was quite appropriately brought up by JN in closing the circle now being in NY
This was prefaced with a thanks to her mom for taking the scissors to her dress, cutting the sleeves so she could play the harp
