Gigi Hadid won't be walking in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The 22-year-old supermodel made the announcement on her Twitter page Thursday that she wouldn't be able to make it to Shanghai , China for the show.

"I'm so bummed I won't be able to make it to China this year," Hadid wrote to her social media followers. "Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year! :) x."

This news comes as a surprise to fans of Hadid, who had previously shared that she would be at this year's show.

Back in August , Hadid announced on Instagram that she would be walking in the 2017 VS show in Shanghai. "Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show!!!" Hadid captioned a picture of herself in an outfit from the 2016 show. "Thank you my friends @ed_razek @10magazine @johndavidpfeiffer @monica.mitro for another unforgettable opportunity; every aspect makes me feel like a dreaming kid again."

Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt and more models walking in the show this year are currently on their way to Shanghai. It appears that Bella Hadid is still walking in the show, she posted on Instagram Wednesday saying she is "so excited."

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS. (Agencies)

TOKYO, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Nikkei stock index added 0.37 percent Friday to a near 15-year closing high on continued optimism for the health of Japan's economy, but gains were kept in check as investors hit the sidelines ahead of finance leaders' talks on Greece's debt later today.

The Nikkei 225 index gained 67.51 points to close at 18,332.30, following yesterday's highest close since May 2000, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues added 0.36 percent , or 5.40 points, to end at 1,500.33.

Traders here said that the market was still responding to positive macroeconomic data and indications from both government reports and the Bank of Japan that the economy here is recovering steadily.

They said that lower oil prices, in some cases, and a comparatively weak yen, were underpinning big corporations, whose businesses are often led by exports, which themselves showed a significant uptick recently , according to the Ministry of Finance.

Annual exports in January surged 17 percent year-on-year, increasing the most since late 2013, with the robust figures owing to increasing shipments of vehicles to the United States and electronic components being shipped to Asian countries, the ministry said yesterday.

With data this week also showing that Japan's economy had emerged from recession and the Bank of Japan holding fire on new monetary policy in light of an upbeat view of the economy, local brokers said that investors were initially looking to square away positions on a good note ahead of the weekend, before switching their attentions to Greece.

A eurozone ministerial meeting, comprising 19 finance ministers, is set to discuss giving Greece an extension of its previous bailout lending , to try to avoid a default by Greece when the loan program expires at the end of this month.

An agreement was close to being made Thursday, analysts here said, when Greece applied for an extension of its loan, minus some of the harsh austerity provisos that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras had judged untenable, but Germany vetoed the move despite the European Union seeing the move as a positive one.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Tsipras held lengthy discussions by phone, which local analysts said was a positive sign that a way around the impasse was being explored, with some form of compromise for Greece hopefully in sight that won't undermine the EU, Greece's creditors , or the citizens of those countries, like Germany, for example, which is somewhat averse to dolling out more cash to Greece.

"The main scenario for Greece is that in the end it'll be able to receive a concession," said Masayuki Doshida, a senior market analyst at Rakuten Economic Research Institute.

In broader terms regarding the market here, Akio Yoshino, a chief economist in Tokyo at Amundi Japan Ltd. said that despite the downside pressure from Greece , the strength of exports here are growing, aided by a weak yen.

"We're seeing that the amount of exports are growing, not just the value of it because of a weaker yen. That's why we're seeing relative strength from exporters today. Even with New York shares falling, Greece concerns and the yen on the stronger side, Japanese shares are pushing upwards," Yoshino said.

Currency markets saw the U.S. dollar trading hands at 118.87 yen, compared to 118.94 yen logged in New York, still a favorable rate well below the level most exporters bargain on.

Automakers gained ground , with top-automaker Toyota accelerating 1.0 percent to 8,078 yen, while Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of the Subaru brand of vehicles, added 0.8 percent, closing at 4,000 yen.

Embattled Skymark Airlines, due to be delisted from the exchange in March , surged 44.44 percent to 39.0 yen, following reports that the travel agency H.I.S. may provide the ailing carrier with emergency funding.

Japan Display, an LCD technology joint venture by Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi, leapt 5.4 percent to finish at 488 yen, following newspaper reports of a new LCD panel plant to be built and potentially be financed by Apple Inc.

Industrial robotics maker Fanuc rose 1.2 percent to close at 23, 285 yen , while Nik.
