just got home from a lovely concert. the venue is small and intimate and with acoustics that "loves trombone", which meant the trombonist had to sit further back than usual. the setlist was mainly songs off the new album, with Emily off Ys and Writ + P,P,P off the Mender.

in the middle of it all she tuned her harp while the audience asked questions about harp cases, cheese jokes and why the first row was completely empty (they wondered too). they said the danish audience was shy regarding the q&a - we said wait til you come to finland! ;)

Jo asked for the venue to be lit up a bit more so she could see us all, which was sweet but kinda took away the feeling of it being just me and them in the dark. but all in all, gorgeous concert, even if it was all a bit soft and quiet where it could have been energetic and sharp. different eras have their own charms, glad to have seen two live
